Photobook Club Seoul presents #65 천경우의 Thousands | Kyungwoo CHUN’s Thousands.

One thousand people with the same family name. Chun(“thousand”), in three villages in the Chinese province of Henan are asked to sit for one- minute photographs in front of the artist.

The thousand photographs are printed in Germany and brought back to the villages, where the participants are asked to write their name, age, and place of birth on the surface of each photograph,

All one thousand of the coll;ected photographs are carried by hand by a Chinese family with the name Chun via bus, train, the ship to Seoul, Korea, where all one thousand photographs are sent individually as postcards via post to the artist in Germany.
