노진규의 작업은 사진과 회화의 중간 지점에서 정신성의 탐구와 같은 모더니티의 성향이 더 강하게 드러난다. 노진규의 현재 작업은 두 시기로 분류해 정의 하는것이 정확하겠다. 첫번째는 과거의 사진을 그리드의 형태로 재구성한 작품들로 지금의 작업을 할 수 있게 한 동기부여를 하면서 '내 심장(몽 꾀르)'과도 같이 가족 구성원에 대한 사랑의 결정체로 이해된다. 반면, 최근 촬영한 가족 구성원들의 초상화는 개인의 감정이나 심리적 상태를 느낄 수 없이 차분하게 촬영된 증명사진이다. 이는 현대인의 초상으로 대변된다. 단지 이 부분을 작가가 의식한 것인지는 알 수 없지만 사진 속 가족 구성원들을 좀 더 객관적인 대상으로 분리함으로써 영원보다는 순간에 뿌리를 두고 제작한 듯 보인다. 인물의 표정은 한가지로 설명 할 수 없을 정도로 묘하게 보여 특정 개인을 지칭하기보다는 현대인의 초상화로 해석의 범위를 넓혀주기 때문이다.

In Korea, many photographers have used family member as the subject matter of their art, however most of them were not focusing on their beauty. As a subject in postmodernism, it is a reflection of our century struggling to understand each ones' identity and understanding diversity of the culture. His art works express Modernism by existing between photography and art. Jinky's work can be understood in two eras. The early stage of his work is reinterpreted photography from the past into grids, which is expressing his love towards his family. Followed by the same family member's identification pictures, which is difficult to understand ones' emotions. What is also representing the people in our society at the moment. We are not sure if Jinkyu tired to understand each family members as a member of the society alongside a member of his family. Facial expressions are nuanced and are understood in many ways that leads to expanding the perspective to the people in our world.
